Saturday, November 28th, 2009
The cell phone has been revolutionized in recent years in order to meet the high demand for a phone that can easily facilitate itself into a business-oriented lifestyle. Business people and technology-savvy customers have dominated the realm of smartphones in recent years. These phones are able to combine the functions of phones, word processors, and computers into a small device that can easily fit into your jacket, pants pocket, or purse. Budding entrepreneurs are able to use a smartphone as an office phone, mobile computer, or GPS, thereby resulting in a new type of phone that can serve to save you money in the early stages of business. The ability of these phones to mold into an entire office setup has caused them to be a must-have for many business individuals.
Nokia N97
This phone has become one of the most lauded smartphones of 2009 after an advance in Nokia’s smartphone technology. Additionally, the N97 features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to blend past and present trends in smartphone technology. Nokia will also introduce “social location” technology in the N97, connecting GPS tracking information to the user’s social networking sites for instant updates, something that has become a very desirable asset in a social media world.
T-Mobile G1
This smartphone is more for the younger customer who enjoys T-Mobile, but wants more functionality within a phone. This phone comes equipped with GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a QWERTY keyboard. The retractable keyboard has been criticized by technology gurus, although the keyboard remains out of sight during storage. Google’s Android operating system is utilized within this phone, thereby offering its users a break from the many Windows models on other smartphones.
BlackBerry Storm
The Storm serves as the rival to the iPhone, which was released just in time for the 2008 holiday rush. This phone incorporates touchscreen technology, but has taken it to the next level by offering a tactile response to each keystroke enacted through the onscreen keyboard. The Storm also features a 3.2-megapixel camera which competes with the iPhone’s online applications.
Sony Ericsson Xpera X1
The Xpera also has a full QWERTY keyboard that is impressive considering the small frame which the Xpera boasts. This phone steps away from the touchscreen panel in light of its own interactive panel surface; the surface contains nine panels, including a Google search and Sony Ericsson’s Xpera Radio channel.
iPhone 3G
The iPhone proved to pave the way for the future of smartphones since its original release in 2007. Since this time, the iPhone has developed into the status symbol it is known for today, which includes constant updates on the software. The iPhone was the first phone to move away from the BlackBerry craze, and instead set up its own industry that has pulled in thousands of users across the world.
